Writing & Linguistics Students Publishing Their Work In National Journals

One of our pursuits at the Department of Writing & Linguistics at Georgia Southern is to help our students learn to take their talents and voices and craft them into publishable works. Two of our own have recently achieved that distinction and we’d like to honor them here.

– Junior Amanda Malone’s fiction piece “Useful Things” was just accepted for publication at the national journal Bartleby Snopes and will appear in the very near future.

– Katie Farris’ essay “Batman And Robin” appeared in the online journal Synchronized Chaos and was promptly nominated for the 2013 anthology Best of the Net.

We’re very proud of our students’ achievements and look forward to all of their continuing success.
